How to Get Involved
Our work is made possible with the support from incredible volunteers and supporters all over the state. CRJW is able to provide reunification services to over 500+ children, parents, and loved ones during programming because of the community's involvement!
If you would like to help, there are many different ways to so!
Volunteering and Internships
The CRJW team is always happy to involve individuals and groups in our programming and work. Some of the potential opportunities include: helping the day of the certain events, packing and organizing supplies for events, communicating with families, and more.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like to see if there are other ways to volunteer, please fill out this form:
CRJW works closely with a variety of different colleges to help educate and involve students in the social service side of the justice system.
If you are interested in interning, please fill out this form:
(Get On The Bus program only) If you are interested in direct involvement with the GOTB program, the Bus Coordinator role involves aiding families directly to help them prepare and attend the program with the Coordinator also attending the day of the event(s). This position is from January until July.
If you are interested in either participating or learning more, please email info@crjw.org.
If you would like to involve your community members (parish, club, school, etc), CRJW is more than happy to find ways to help get everyone involved. Groups have come together to gather collections such as in kind donations or fundraisers.
If you are interested in getting involved, please email info@crjw.org.
In-Kind Donations
Teddy bears are provided to children after they visit their parents. The bears serve not only as a gift from the program but also as a comfort item to help sooth each child on the long ride home. Teddy bears are usually:
- Bears
- 12 inches
- Soft and huggable
- VERY LIGHTLY used if not new
*UPDATE JAN 16 2023: GOTB/CRJW WILL NOT be needing teddy bears for the 2023 season (April 2023 – June 2023)! If you would still like to make a donation, please contact the email listed below.
To support families traveling to visit parents and loved ones on a sometimes incredibly long trip, our programs provide Travel Bags with comfort items. Some of the items included in the baggies are:

- educational activity books
- and more
Each travel bag can be packaged in grocery bag-sized baggies.
Another way that CRJW helps to keep families connected is through Stay Connected Kits (SCK). SCKs are packages of stationary items provided to children and parents so their communication can continue through letter writing. Packets include:
